RUNO Biannual Exhibitions
Taide luo yksilöllisyyttä ja tarinoita – mitä myös RUNO haluaa luoda ja edustaa. Suomalaisuutta edustava hotellikonsepti RUNO haluaa toimia myös suomalaisen taiteen näyttämönä.
Hotel Porvoo avasi keväällä 2022 uuden näyttelykonseptin, RUNO Biannual Exhibitions, jonka kuvataiteilija Fanny Tavastila on luonut ja kuratoi. Konsepti koostuu kahdesta laajasta ryhmänäyttelystä per vuosi.
RUNO Biannual IV – ’Abstraction’
The group show ’Abstraction’ includes a vast scale of works by artists Inka Bell, Karoliina Hellberg, Heidi Lampenius, Kristo Saarikoski, Julia Strand and Miikka Vaskola. All working in different techniques, a sensitive communication between the works, as well as the relation to their surrounding environment, is formed through the artists’ exploration of shape, surface, color and form, creating a unique atmosphere – a sense of timeless space. Through a constant balance between the abstract and the figurative, the works of six Finnish artists intertwine in dialogue between the visible and the imaginative.
RUNO Biannual III – ’From Earth to Heaven’
The group show “From Earth to Heaven” includes works by artists Juliana Hyrri, Sylvia Javén, Sakari Kannosto, Anna Karhu-Cormier, Teemu Korpela & Linda Roschier. Starting from the bottom floor, the exhibition streches all the way up to the top floor, with the works thematically exploring subjects from grounding earthiness to the openness of a personal universe – and anything that can happen in between.
RUNO Biannual II – ’Longing’
The group show ’Longing’ included works by artists Valtteri Kivelä, Henna Nuutinen, Irina Pått, Riku Riippa, Jenni Rope and Sini Villi. All artists working in different techniques, their works seem to stretch towards each other in a silent desire.
RUNO Biannual I – ’Together’
The first RUNO Biannual group show ’Together’ included artworks from Jasmin Anoschkin, Emma Helle, Heli Hiltunen, Iisa Maaranen, Sonja Löfgren-Birch and Tommi Toija.
